The primary responsibility of the Desktop Sales Administrator, is to provide licensing, upgrade and refund support to desktop customers via email and telephone. 

Primary responsibilities and functions include:

  • Answer incoming phone calls from customers and handle per department guidelines (open an inquiry in the internal Customer Relations Management system and assign the case to the appropriate Sales Representative).
  • Manage desktop sale queue: assign incoming cases and populate cases with account name, lead, asset name, serial number, product type, problem type, OS version.
  • Respond to upgrade cases with instructions and custom links.
  • Issue refunds on ecommerce sites, Avangate and FastSpring.
  • Assist with customers' licensing and activation issues
  • Maintain inventory and manage direct requests for Wirecast Gear trial units. Includes e-mailing paperwork prior to sending units out and following up to have units sent back to Telestream.
  • Maintain calm, patient and professional attitude with all customers.
  • Attempt to independently use available resources (e.g. using on-line resources, knowledge base, the internal Wiki) to find answers to questions
  • Become familiar with Wirecast and ScreenFlow software.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

Other Items that this full-time person could do:

  • Enter direct orders for outbound sales team and be backup to inbound sales team for order entry.
  • Provide delivery information for Wirecast Gear direct orders to customers

Required skills, knowledge and abilities:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some College level classes
• Familiar with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong phone skills and entry level knowledge of providing customer service
• Knowledge of Mac and/or Windows Operating Systems
• Must show the initiative and ability to learn Telestream's product line
• Fast typing skills required
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees and management
• Ability to set priorities and/or ask for assistance in setting priorities if needed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
