IneoQuest, a Telestream company, is a worldwide leading vendor in the video monitoring space with a large variety of customers in the Telco, MSO and Broadcast industry offering linear TV and streaming services.

We are growing fast and to expand our Post Sales/Support Engineering (PSE) team we are looking for new team members. If you are looking to join a young and inspiring company and have sufficient experience in the digital video industry (IPTV, OTT, etc.), we will give you the opportunity to work in the exciting video business. In your role, you will assist the account teams in all (technical) aspects of the business. This role will be based in Cologne area in Germany.

Primary responsibilities and functions include:

  • Managing and Maintaining running Telestream IQ Solutions Video Platform at customers.

  • Re-configure and maintain changes to the running Monitoring platform

  • Assist and advise customer with the integration of monitoring strategy within their structure

  • Provide training and expand knowledge of customer's NOC teams.

  • Technical ownership of the assigned end user accounts for installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of IQ products

  • Provide long term statistics and analyze network health based on gathered IQ Solutions data.

  • Responsible for orchestrating installation and deployment of the IQ end-to-end solution at customer sites, training, and continued customer support with the assistance of the IQ corporate support team

  • Provide first and second level technical support reported by end user customers and/or partners as needed and requested by Services or other Sales personnel

  • Assist IQ Sales and other Engineers during trials, product installations and upgrades

  • Build and maintain a technical relationship with the customer as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert

  • Manage the implementation and delivery of projects closed by the sales team along with customer expectations

  • Perform field and remote maintenance tasks to support, upgrade and maintain customer systems

  • Help managing, prioritizing and reproducing customer support issues (tickets) and assist with troubleshooting in lab or customer environments

  • Proactively assess solution specifications in light of changing customer requirements, and recommend solution changes that optimize value for both the customer and the company

  • Coordinate closely with sales, sales support, service resources, and customers by communicating project status and success metrics

  • Traveling across the covered region will be part of the job

  • You will work from your home office and also from customer's facilities

Required skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics or related discipline

  • Extensive knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, IP Routing, multicast, IGMP

  • Shown interest in Linear and Over-The-Top Video distribution

  • Linux (RedHat, CentOS) knowledge is a must

  • Background on network management (SNMP)

  • Basic database query experience with MySQL is a must

  • Knowledge of MPEG, IPTV, VOD, QoS/QoE metrics and Adaptive Streaming Protocols (HLS, DASH, MSSS) is a big advantage

  • Experience with virtual machine setup (VMWare and KVM), configuration, and orchestration is a plus

  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues in a structured way

  • Self-motivated individual that drives customer issues to resolution

  • Travel for onsite customer visits when required

  • Living in or close to the larger Cologne area in Germany

  • A candidate with existing regional service provider technical relationships is a plus
