Job Duties: Responsible for providing technical leadership and management in design and development of desktop digital media production software products.  Duties include working closely with customers, partners and other departments within the organization (sales, marketing and support) to define the requirements for new products, features and services; translating product requirements into product architecture and design; managing the product development process and timeline; providing technical leadership through mentorship and personal coding skills; coordinating with other Telestream engineering groups on shared technologies; working with Human Resources on personnel issues; developing the departmental budget and participating in the annual corporate budget process.

Job Requirements: Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 7 years of experience in software engineering or engineering management or related OR 9 years of relevant experience if lacking a Bachelor's degree

Experience must include: 1)  managing an engineering team and directing a software project from concept to release; 2) cross platform software design and development specifically for desktop platforms (Windows and Macintosh); 3)  C++ programming and platform specific languages and frameworks (e.g. C#, .NET, Win32, Objective-C, Cocoa, etc.); 4) graphics programming interfaces (OpenGL, Direct3D);  5) knowledge of digital media technologies including video and audio codecs, media file formats and streaming protocols.
