Telestream has an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales leader in our EMEA region.   The Director of Sales will drive success by increasing revenue, solution adoption, as well as our market penetration across the region.  Your responsibilities will include guiding and managing a highly talented sales team focused on achieving these goals. The ideal candidate will possess a technology sales management background that enables them to lead a team of senior enterprise sale representatives with client engagements spanning the operational to the CXO level.  As much of our business is channel focused, successful candidates will have extensive channel management experience and be adept at growing and managing multiple channel partners in any given locale. He/she should also be a self-starter who is prepared to own, define, develop and execute a geographic plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets.

Primary responsibilities and functions include:

  • Hire, develop, coach and manage our team of Regional Sales Managers and pre-sales engineers/solutions architects so as to achieve the region sales goals
  • Create a team culture focused on prospecting and sales pipeline development to drive sales attainment through constant in-person engagements with end customers and channel partners
  • Regularly meet with customers and channel partners to present and demonstrate Telestream solutions and services to prospective end-users for purchase
  • Work actively with our field-based sales engineering team to determine the proper product fit and configuration required by customers in the broadcast, post production, digital media, business, and education markets
  • Consult with customers on best practices and workflows associated with Telestream workflow and transcoding products and applications
  • Diligently manage and track opportunities in our CRM for purposes of forecasting/reporting on a regional basis 

Required skills, knowledge and abilities: 

  • Minimum of 10 years sales experience is required
  • Minimum of 5 years technical sales experience within the digital media/broadcast industry is required
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience hiring, mentoring, coaching, and developing sales reps, all focused on driving them to achieve performance goals
  • Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise software, with a strong understanding of digital media workflows
  • Fundamental understanding of contemporary video and audio compression products and applications
  • Proven record of exceeding sales quota
  • Applicants should possess an energetic "hunter" mentality with a strong desire to develop and close new business while also maximizing revenue growth from our large base of installed users
  • Must be equally comfortable dealing with senior management as well as mid-level technical staff as part of any client engagement
  • Must be able to travel overnight frequently (up to 50%) to all areas of the region as required
