Telestream is looking to add a new team member to our Bristol office working with our Vidchecker products.  The products are highly technical software for the broadcast market and the right candidate will have an interest in technology and once hired will attend a course to gain a basic understanding of broadcast processes and customer requirements.  Telestream is a world-wide company with a salesforce located in multiple time-zones, requiring flexibility and the ability to be comfortable working closely with a remote headquarters and members of the sales team, utilizing different communication tools; email, web conferencing, Skype and phone.

Primary responsibilities and functions include:

  • Engaging with existing customers and new contacts to identify sales opportunities
  • Responding to and following up inbound sales enquiries world-wide, both by e-mail and phone
  • Liaising with the sales team and resellers around the world regarding these enquiries
  • Identifying and making suggestions on which customers or groups of customers need follow-up with either Sales or Support
  • Generating quotations & invoices using Salesforce, the company's online sales system
  • Managing the process that ensures customers renew their annual software maintenance contracts including forecasting, opportunity tracking, quote generation and follow up
  • Answering pricing and other sales-related questions including simple technical queries
  • Liaising with technical support and handing over more complex technical enquiries
  • Managing, together with marketing, the database of leads, opportunities and customer contact details
  • Input sales orders in different currencies into the company ERP system
  • General office management duties such as fire warden etc.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • 1-2 years inside sales experience
  • Outstanding communication skills and a positive 'can-do' outgoing attitude
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and capable of generating quotations accurately
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Calendar, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Ability to quickly learn new technical concepts and be able to apply and explain these
  • Ability to travel occasionally on business within the UK and possibly internationally, less than 10%
  • Ability to work in a small team, largely in control of their own work day

 Additional strengths

  • Experience with business to business sales of software or technical products
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Additional language skills a plus (example: Spanish fluency)
